Vanterm

• Located at a Vancouver container terminal, this container storage building is 110’ high and 9,900sf. This project was completed under a very short construction schedule and utilizing local structural design and pre-engineered steel building suppliers, site works was able to proceed immediately with a complete design. This allowed for a faster fabrication of the steel building and ultimately a quicker completion of the project. The steel design had to account for large wind loads since it is an open building, with a low floor area to height ratio and is very near the shoreline. By using traditional structural steel engineering, both the building and foundation were design concurrent to improve overall design efficiency and schedule.
