Fitzsimmons Creek Power Station

This HCI building is on Blackcomb mountain in Whistler and is a used for hydro electric power generation. It is 10900mm wide x 22600mm long x min 8992mm low eaves (36’W x 74’L x 30’H).

Due to the location, this building has additional reinforcing in the roof and walls to contend with the huge design snow load. It has a HCI weatherspan standing seem roof with 8″ of insulation and 6″ of insulation in the walls. A 6 tonne top running bridge runs the length of the building.
